What to Do Right Now

while you wait

The first few minutes after a dental injury can change the outcome. Find what happened below, then call us.

Knocked-Out Tooth

Pick the tooth up by the crown, never the root. Rinse it gently if dirty. Try to place it back in the socket and bite down on a clean cloth. If you cannot, store it in milk or saline. Call us immediately. The first 30 minutes matter most.

Broken or Cracked Tooth

Rinse your mouth with warm water. Apply a cold compress to your face if there is swelling. Save any larger fragments. Bite gently if you need to keep the tooth stable. Call us so we can plan a same-day repair.

Severe Toothache

Rinse with warm salt water. Floss gently to remove anything trapped between teeth. Over-the-counter pain relief helps short term. If you have swelling, fever, or jaw stiffness with the pain, call us right away. Those signs point to infection.

Lost Filling or Crown

Save the crown if you have it. Avoid chewing on that side. Pharmacy temporary cement can hold a loose crown for a day or two. This is rarely a same-hour emergency, but should be addressed within a day or two so the underlying tooth stays protected.

Severe Swelling, Fever, or Trouble Breathing

Go to the emergency room first. These can be signs of an infection spreading toward your airway. Once you are stable, call us so we can address the dental cause.

When Pain Cannot Wait, We Are Here

same day

A dental emergency rarely comes with warning. One moment you are fine. The next, a cracked tooth, a swelling jaw, or pain sharp enough to keep you from sleeping. These are not situations where waiting helps. An untreated dental infection spreads. A knocked-out tooth has a narrow window for replantation. Time matters.

At Le Dentistry, we see emergency patients as fast as the schedule allows, often the same day you call. We treat the full range of urgent problems: severe toothaches, broken or cracked teeth, knocked-out teeth, abscesses and swelling, lost fillings or crowns, emergency extractions, emergency root canals, and soft tissue injuries. The priority in every emergency is the same. Relieve the pain, diagnose the cause accurately, and protect what we can.

If you are in pain right now, call (920) 235-6040. If you have severe facial swelling, difficulty breathing, or trouble swallowing, go to the nearest emergency room first.

The patients who do best in an emergency are the ones who call right away. The “maybe it will go away” instinct usually costs more than the appointment.

An Emergency Should Not Wait for Payday

we have options

Most dental emergencies happen at the worst possible time. Le Dentistry accepts Cherry patient financing, CareCredit, HSA, and FSA dollars, and offers in-house payment plans for patients who need to spread treatment across a few months. Dr. Le gives you the cost in writing before any treatment begins.

If you have insurance, we are in-network with Delta Dental and accept most PPO plans on an out-of-network basis. We file every claim for you so any reimbursement comes back to you directly.

"I highly recommend! Went in for my annual cleaning and Dr. Le and her staff were so friendly and accommodating! Not only did she do great cleaning my teeth, we had a great conversation in the process. I look forward to going back in 6 months for my next cleaning!"
